Little Treasures Pocket Necklace - Free Pattern

Little Treasures Pocket Necklace
Free Crochet Pattern

I *love* pockets. But the pockets on my clothes are just never big enough, if they're even there at all! So I worked up this little pocket necklace, perfect for keeping little treasures or important items like chapstick, cash, or a lighter, easily accessible. The pattern is also easily adjustable for slightly larger items, like keys or cards!

Materials:
- A small amount of medium (3) weight yarn. This is a great scrap yarn project! For my examples I used Red Heart Super Saver in Blacklight and a heather gray.
- H (5mm) hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Notes:
- This project is worked in joined rounds. Join each round with a slip stitch to the first stitch of the round.
- Chain 1 at the beginning of the round does NOT count as a stitch.
- To make a wider pocket, use a longer beginning chain.

Gauge:
Gauge is not important for this project, and you could adjust hook size for whatever kind of yarn you like. However, my gauge was 1" = approximately 3.5 single crochet and 3.5 rows.

Stitches & Abbreviations:
Ch - Chain
Sl st - Slip stitch
Sc - Single crochet

Pattern:
Chain 5.
1. Sc in second ch from hook. Sc in next 2 ch. 3 sc in last ch. Down other side of the chain, sc in next 2 sc. 2 sc in very first ch. Join with sl st to first sc. (10 sc)

2. - 10. Ch 1. Sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.

Ch 80 (adjust for a longer or shorter necklace). Skip 4 sc. Sl st into next st. Fasten off and weave in ends.
